Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Hafeez decided to become a dentist after he shadowed his uncle, a world-renowned dental implant surgeon, early on in his training. His family is comprised of physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals, so he already knew that he wanted to go into healthcare, as he was able to see how fulfilling it was for his loved ones.

Dentistry resonated most with him because it was unique in the way that it combined technical skill and precision with building meaningful relationships with his patients. He loved that he could make a tangible difference in his patients’ lives, whether that would be through boosting their confidence or improving their health.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Hafeez attended Wilfrid Laurier University for his undergraduate studies and New York University College of Dentistry for his Doctor of Dental Surgery. He also earned his master’s at the University of Guelph.

Dr. Hafeez has a history in research that informs his evidence-based approach to dentistry, and he regularly takes advanced and continuing education to stay up to date with the latest in his field. His dedication to professional growth allows him to provide his patients with precise and modern care that utilizes emerging technologies and techniques. Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Dr. Hafeez is from Toronto, Ontario, and comes from a close-knit family. As educators and healthcare providers, Dr. Hafeez’s parents and family members raised him to develop a deep appreciation for education and service, which is something that he carries with him as a dentist as well.

Whenever Dr. Hafeez isn’t at the office, you can find him building computers, tinkering with gadgets, and keeping up with the latest emerging technologies. He also enjoys traveling with his wife, who is also his best friend, experiencing different cultures through food, and being outdoors.

An interesting fact about Dr. Hafeez is that he’s always planning his next adventure, whether that’s surfing in the summer, snowboarding in the winter, or trying new restaurants with his wife!
